This policy describes the information we process to support KiOS.
What kinds of information do we collect?
To provide KiOS, we must process information about your business.
We process your Square menu data such as Items, Modifiers, taxes, etc. to have the content available for you to customize your KiOS menu. Only you have access to your menu data.
Purchase order data
Purchase order data is captured and sent back to Square for reporting. All data can be accessed via the Square Reports functionality. Payment information is NOT collected as we remain PCI compliant by directly using Square’s payment processing. All payment information is encrypted so we do not see any data.
We collect information about how you and your customers use KiOS, such as your menu setup progress, KiOS uptime, frequency and duration of the ordering process, etc. We collect this information to gather insights which we share with you to improve your operations and our KiOS product.
Device attributes – information such as the hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, and available storage space.
Device signals – Bluetooth signals and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points.
How do we use this information?
We use the information we have as described below to provide and support KiOS. Here's how:
Provide and improve KiOS
We use the information we have to deliver KiOS. We use your Square menu data to give you the power to create a self-order menu any way you wish. Any transaction data is sent to Square’s reporting functions.
We use the information we have to develop, test and improve KiOS, including by conducting surveys and research, and testing and troubleshooting new products and features.
Communicate with you.
We use the information we have to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our products, and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.
How is this information shared?
The information is only shared with the owner. In the case of your menu and transaction information, that owner is you.
Any insights we gather to improve your business and/or experience with KiOS will be shared with you.
We do not share your information to other, third parties, or partners.
